12 AUGUST 2024
A team of 20 dedicated runners representing York & Scarborough Hospitals Charity took to the streets of York on Sunday 4 August to take part in the city’s iconic 10K run.
Their efforts have resulted in an incredible fundraising total of almost £3,000, which will directly benefit patients and services across York and Scarborough Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust.
Joe Fenton, Community Fundraiser at York & Scarborough Hospitals Charity, expressed his gratitude for the runners’ achievements: “We’re absolutely blown away by the incredible support and fundraising efforts of our amazing team. Every pound raised will make a tangible difference to the lives of our patients and staff.”
The funds raised will support a variety of projects within the Trust including purchasing equipment, refurbishing hospital spaces, funding staff training and education, and arts and music therapies. The charity is committed to enhancing the hospital experience for patients and their families.
