Yorkshire Three Peaks Challenge raises £4,500

On Saturday 15 June, a determined team of 23 walkers braved the wet and cold conditions to conquer the Yorkshire Three Peaks, in aid of York & Scarborough Hospitals Charity.
Despite the treacherous conditions, walkers scaled Pen-y-Ghent, Whernside and Ingleborough, to raise an amazing £4,500 for the charity.
York & Scarborough Hospitals Charity raises vital funds to improve patient care and experience and staff wellbeing.
The fastest team members completed the course in an impressive 9 hours and 30 minutes.
Joe Fenton, Community fundraiser at York & Scarborough Hospitals Charity, said: “We are incredibly grateful and proud of everyone who took part. They’ve raised a fantastic amount that will help us to make a real difference to the experience of staff, patients and their families”.
