About York & Scarborough Hospitals Charity
We are the official charity of York and Scarborough Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. From the everyday to the transformational, we fund improvements to the hospital environments and services which are above and beyond NHS funding. With your help, we can make the hospital experience the best it can be for all who visit, stay and work there. We also support our teams who deliver care in the community.
With your support, we can:
- Purchase new equipment
- Enhance patient care and experience
- Improve the hospital environment through building and refurbishment
- Invest in staff wellbeing and training
- Support research
We support the work of York, Scarborough, Selby, Malton, Bridlington and St. Monica’s hospitals as well as community services.
Your impact
Thanks to your donations, we are able to fund a range of projects to make a positive difference to our hospitals. Below are just a few examples of what you helped us to fund in 2023.

gifts were given to patients in our hospitals on Christmas Day

screens were funded for the Autumn project, giving patients privacy and dignity when receiving end of life care
